Rethinking Regeneration

In this pamphlet, Victoria Winckler provides a powerful critique of current thinking and stereotypes about the regeneration of the Heads of the Valleys area including Merthyr Tydfil and Blaenau Gwent – she argues that contrary to popular opinion there has been little real investment in the area until very recently, and claims that the answer lies in commuting to Cardiff have no foundation.  The ideas have ensured that the prescriptions about the solutions to the Heads of the Valleys problems are contested and debated as never before.
