Out and about at housing events

Our staff have had a busy week sharing our work on housing at events in Cardiff and North Wales

On Tuesday 19^th March, Senior Policy & Research Officer Wendy Dearden listened in to an Institute of Welsh Affairs and Bangor University event hosted by Adra at Ty Gwyrddfai, Penegroes. Speakers discussed opportunities to deliver well-being and resilience through community ownership with many takeaways for our work on community-led housing.

TPAS Cymru held its annual Homes and Communities North Wales event in Llandudno on the 20th. Wendy was one of several North-Wales based speakers to talk about their current work with the need to build more social homes being a strong theme.

Also on Wednesday 20th, our Director Victoria Winckler was a panellist at Community Housing Cymru’s annual governance conference. She responded to the Keynote Speech delivered by Claer Barrett, consumer editor at the Financial Times, on the housing crisis.
