The Bevan Foundation’s Head of Policy (Poverty) joined a panel at the NRLA’s on tour event

With the summer conference season getting into full swing the Bevan Foundation were pleased to receive an invitation from the National Residential Landlord’s Association (NRLA) to join their “On tour” event in Cardiff. The event provided a forum for landlords all over south Wales to discuss Welsh housing policy and took place at the Cardiff City Stadium on 25 May.

The Bevan Foundation’s Head of Policy (Poverty) joined the event on behalf of the Foundation and took part in a panel discussion about the private rental sector in Wales. Joining him on the panel were Douglas Haig, Non-Executive Director for Wales, NRLA, Lucinda Wolf, Kearns Solicitors and Councillor Lynda Thorne, Cabinet Member for Housing and Communities at Cardiff Council.

The discussion touched on a range of issues with Steffan having an opportunity to draw participants’ attention to the Bevan Foundation’s work on the shortage of properties that are available to rent at Local Housing Allowance rates.
