Wednesday July 27 saw the Bevan Foundation publish its Snapshot of poverty in summer 2022 report. The report, based on a poll conducted by YouGov on behalf of the Bevan Foundation paints a grim picture of the extent of poverty and inequality in Wales this winter. It has drawn considerable media attention including:

  • Extensive coverage on ITV Wales news throughout the day.
  • Featuring on the front page of the day’s Western Mail.
  • A detailed article in the National.
  • Steffan Evans appears on S4C’s newyddion.
  • Steffan Evans was interviewed for Global’s radio stations.

In addition to the findings of the report featuring on ITV Wales news throughout the day, Steffan Evans was invited to join ITV Wales at their studio for the evening news. ITV Wales had been running a series throughout the week looking at the relationship between the cost of living crisis and housing. Steffan was therefore invited to join a discussion with Katie Dalton, Director of Cymorth Cymru on the topic. The discussion can be viewed in the clip below.
