With talks from experts Dr Jac Larner, Elan Grug Muse and Dr Matthew Wall, this webinar looks at the unique factors likely to affect the campaigning issues, voter turn out and results of this unlike-any-before election.
Jac is a lecturer in Politics at Cardiff University where he teaches Political Behaviour and Research Methods. His research interests focus on elections, political psychology, voting behaviour, national identity, and survey methodology. As of January 2021, he is a member of the research teams carrying out the 2021 Welsh Election Study and Scottish Election Study.
Grug Muse is Project officer for the Urdd’s Vote 16/17 project, funded by the UK Democracy fund through the Joseph Rountree Reform Trust. She graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2015, and is currently a postgraduate student at Swansea University.
Dr Wall is a specialist in the study of elections and campaigns, with a particular focus on how the Internet is affecting contemporary campaign dynamics. He has worked at universities in Amsterdam and Brussels before taking up a lectureship at Swansea University in 2012. He is currently a co-director of Swansea University’s Politics and Governance Research Group as well as being the Director of the WISERD Politics and Governance Research Network.
