Insight
Wales has abundant assets that are in public hands. However, some are underused, others are in need of investment and some are even considered liabilities. At the same time, there are many communities that want a greater say and powers to nurture and develop these assets.
Idea
We have called for a Community Rights Act that creates specific, enforceable community rights that communities can use to safeguard and act on their collective interests and help ensure that precious assets can be developed for wide community and public benefits.
Impact
Many community organisations have shown support for these proposals and they are now being considered by Senedd members.
