The Bevan Foundation were delighted to receive an invite to discuss our work on poverty with the Gwent Safeguarding Board

As we mark national safeguarding week the Bevan Foundation were delighted to receive an invite from the Gwent Safeguarding Board to address their online practitioner event. The event saw over 130 practitioners from a variety of roles across Gwent come together to discuss issues concerning the profession.

The Bevan Foundation’s Head of Policy (Poverty), Steffan Evans was delighted to join on behalf of the Foundation. He gave a presentation providing an overview of the Foundation’s latest Snapshot of poverty results and reflected on what their implications may be for safeguarding practitioners this winter. A lively discussion followed the presentation which provided delegates with an opportunity to explore some of the issues Steffan had raised in greater detail.

The Foundation would like to thank the Gwent Safeguarding Board for their invitation. If you would like to learn more about our work then make sure to get in touch.
