Bevan Foundation Director Victoria Winckler has given evidence on the impact of poverty on children’s attainment to an Assembly inquiry. Speaking to the Children and Young People’s Committee on 20th November 2013, Victoria answered Assembly Members’ questions on a range of issues from why there are differences in the attainment of children who receive free school meals between local authorities, to the importance of parental engagement in learning to how poverty amongst school-aged children should be measured. A recording of the session is below.

The Bevan Foundation also submitted written evidence to the inquiry which is available here.
