You are warmly invited to join the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) and the Bevan Foundation at the launch of JRF’s latest report about poverty in Wales.  The report, the fourth in the series to be published by JRF, provides an independent check on how Wales is faring and examines progress on reducing poverty. The New Policy Institute, which undertook the work, analyse a host of indicators including income, employment, education and housing.

This event will explore the policy and practice implications and discuss UK and Welsh Government’s current responses, against a backdrop of rising joblessness and an uncertain outlook for action against poverty.

Minister Jeff Cuthbert and Vaughan Gething AM have been invited to give a response. There will be opportunities for you to question the research team and respondents, and group discussions.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Confirmation details will be emailed one week before the event. If you have any questions, please contact Michelle Atkins on 01904 615 905 or [email protected]
