Ongoing changes to the welfare system has made it increasingly difficult for people to rent in the private rental sector. Recent research from the Bevan Foundation indicates that there are significant problems facing low-income tenants from being able to access housing in the private rental sector.
As the cost of living crisis worsens, it is vital that policy makers and landlords have a robust understanding of the challenges and what can be done to overcome them.
This is a free event open to landlords working in the private rental sector and anyone who is interested in improving access to the private rental sector. Join us at Venue Cymru, Conwy to discuss the barriers faced by tenants, and what support tenants and landlords need to improve the living situation of households.
There will be speakers from the Bevan Foundation and the NRLA to give a background to the issues faced by tenants and landlords. This will be followed by a discussion session to discuss the next steps in supporting the private rental sector.
This one-off seminar will be held in Venue Cymru, Llandudno, Conwy. Event capacity is limited, so book soon to avoid missing out!
Food and refreshments will be provided.
Further details and the agenda of the event will be sent to registrants once finalised.
