The latest State of Wales briefing looks at the educational attainment of learners from their entry into the Foundation Phase of education to their attainment at age 18.

Education enriches the individual and society.  Although there are many more benefits to education than examinations, good educational attainment is nevertheless strongly associated with good outcomes in other aspects of life including future employment prospects, personal and household income and good health.

This briefing uses data published by the Welsh Government to highlight the attainment of different groups including pupils eligible for Free School Meals, disabled learners, boys and girls, and learners of different ethnic backgrounds.
