ReportsResourcesJanuary 2nd, 2018

This short report looks at the challenges facing Wales in 2018 based on expert forecasts and planned outputs for the next 12 months.

Wales faces unprecedented challenges in 2018: a flatlining economy, a rise in poverty rates and the separation of the UK from the EU.

This report highlights that while Welsh Government, local authorities and many businesses and charities are making very real efforts to address the challenges facing Wales, progress is minimal and in some cases, such as child poverty, we have gone backwards.

There are sections on:

  • the economy and labour market
  • standard of living
  • society
  • politics

Any individuals or organisations interested in sharing their ideas to address the challenges are invited to get in touch.
