The Bevan Foundation has submitted written evidence to the Local Government and Housing Committee’s inquiry into the private rented sector
The Senedd’s Local Government and Housing Committee are holding an inquiry into the private rented sector. The Bevan was pleased to submit written evidence to the Committee.
The Foundation addressed each of the Committee’s six questions in turn drawing on our extensive work on the private rented sector in Wales. Among the key arguments made by the Foundation was that there is an acute shortage of affordable, good quality homes to rent in Wales. This shortage is pushing many into homelessness, whilst it is a cause of significant financial hardship for others.
