The Joesph Rowntree and Bevan Foundations’ latest report provides a unique framework for action to reduce poverty in Wales.
Based on an extensive review of ‘what works’ and a comprehensive UK strategy, this report makes important recommendations for action in Wales covering:
- the economy and jobs
- learning and skills
- families and communities
- cutting costs
- addressing complex needs
In total the report estimates that poverty costs the Welsh public purse around £3.6 billion a year.
