The Bevan Foundation has responded to a consultation by the National Assembly for Wales’ Health, Social Care and Sport Committee on primary care.
The committee’s inquiry will focus on the role of Wales 64 cluster networks – groups of GPs working with other health and care professionals to plan and provide services locally – as a means of transforming primary care.
The Bevan Foundation’s response identifies a ranges of pressures facing the current system, including both patient and system pressures. It also emphasises how the paucity of evidence means that it is very difficult to monitor performance and satisfaction from a patient perspective.
