The Bevan Foundation have submitted written evidence to the All Party Parliamentary Group for Ending Homelessness as part of their inquiry into the UK Government’s rough sleeping target

The All Party Parliamentary Group for Ending Homelessness is a group of MPs from different parties, and of a selection of third-sector organisations who work together on issues of homelessness in the UK. This group recently called for written evidence as it undertook a review of the progress made by theUK Government in reaching their rough sleeping target.” The Bevan Foundation submitted a response in relation to the non-devolved welfare system, and proposed suggestions as to how it could be strengthened in future to prevent homelessness.

In total, the All Party Parliamentary Group for Ending Homelessness posed three consultation questions for respondents to answer. The Bevan Foundation submitted a response in relation to one of the three, with our primary focus being on how the UK Government can improve the Local Housing Allowance to provide better support for households at risk and experiencing homelessness.
