Making the most of a smoke-free Wales

On 2nd April 2007 Wales banned smoking in public places and workplaces in order to protect people from the effects of second-hand smoke – this report asks whether institutions were ready to make sure the ban is a success in protecting people from the effects of second -hand smoke and in enouraging smokers to quit.  With smoking being one of the main causes of differences in health between low and high-income groups of people, this is an issue that makes a difference to health inequalities and the quality of people’s lives.
