People In 2007 Trevor Phillips, Chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission delivered the Annual Aneurin Bevan memorial Lecture – ‘Equality and Human Rights: An agenda for Wales’ – published with a generous contribution from EHRC. Mr. Philllips highlighted the aims of the Commission stating that he hoped that perhaps if the EHRC set it’s sights high enough, it would one day become an institution remembered as the spearhead of this generation’s assault on some of our contemporary giants : inequality, discrimination, disadvantage and social division.
