Two articles by the Bevan Foundation feature in the most recent edition of Welsh Housing Quarterly

The newest edition of Wales’ only independent housing magazine, Welsh Housing Quarterly, was published on 19th July. The Bevan Foundation were pleased to contribute two articles to this latest issue.

The first was written by our Senior Policy & Research Officer, Wendy Dearden, introducing our new housing project. In the article, Wendy considers how to clear the way to unlock more permanent social homes and get people out of temporary accommodation.

The second article was penned by our Head of Policy (Poverty), Steffan Evans. To mark the 25th anniversary of devolution, WHQ asked a range of contributors for their views on housing’s journey through devolution so far and what they want to see in the future. In the article, Steffan highlights the need for big picture solutions, including policy interventions that will make a difference at scale. He also stresses that there is a need better recognise the jagged edges of the devolution settlement, such as the bedroom tax.
