Cost of living crisis
The cost of living crisis continues to be a major news story, and the Bevan Foundation has been able to use its insights to inform debate through September. On September 8th our Director, Dr Victoria Winckler appeared on BBC Radio Wales, and our Head of Policy (Poverty) Dr Steffan Evans appeared on BBC Radio Cymru. Both gave their reaction to the package of support announced by the UK Government to help families with their energy bills.
The Foundation’s Snapshot of Poverty report also continued to provide the media with valuable information to inform their coverage of the crisis. September 15th for instance saw the Daily Post make reference to our findings in an article on poverty in north Wales.
