June was another busy month in the media for the Bevan Foundation

The Bevan Foundation’s work continued to make a splash in the media throughout June. The Foundation’s work in a variety of areas was covered by both local, Welsh and UK media showing the extent of the impact of the Foundation’s work.

Child poverty and education

The Bevan Foundation got extensive media coverage for its work on child poverty through June. On June 13 the BBC and S4C covered some of the Foundation’s recent work on Free School Meals. A few days later there was extensive coverage in the written press of a speech that the Minister for Education and Welsh language, Jeremy Miles MS, delivered to the Bevan Foundation as part of our “A new Wales” series.

Housing

The Bevan Foundation’s work on housing also received media coverage through June. June 12th saw the Bevan Foundation publish an update from our work on the Local Housing Allowance and homelessness in Wales. Among the outlets to cover our report were Nation.Cymru and the BBC
