Bevan Foundation advises Welsh Government on Fuel Poverty

The Bevan Foundation is a member of the Welsh Government’s Fuel Poverty Advisory Panel – a group that provides expert views on how best to help people to escape poverty and achieve the goal of ending fuel poverty by 2035. 

At the latest meeting of the group on June 13th 2022, the group discussed a range of issues relating to the Welsh Government’s plans to address fuel poverty in Wales.  The Bevan Foundation’s Head of Policy (Poverty), Steffan Evans attended on behalf of the Bevan Foundation. In the meeting, Steffan emphasised the importance of taking steps to support households through the pressures they are likely to face this winter as well as taking longer term action.
