The Bevan Foundation joined the Welsh Government for a roundtable discussion on food poverty in Wales.

The Bevan Foundation were pleased to be among a number of organisations invited to join the Welsh Government for a roundtable discussion on food poverty in Wales. With living costs on the rise, more and more families are struggling to find the money to put food on the table, the discussion was an extremely timely one.

The roundtable provided people from a variety of backgrounds with an opportunity to discuss solutions, with Steffan Evans, joining the meeting on behalf of the Bevan Foundation. The Welsh Government were represented at the meeting by the Minister for Social Justice, Jane Hutt, the Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales, and Trefnydd, Lesley Griffiths and a number of officials.

A number of interesting solutions were proposed at the discussion and we look forward to seeing how the Welsh Government make progress in taking these ideas over the coming months.
