The Bevan Foundation contributed to two Cardiff University events

Thursday 28 April saw the Bevan Foundation’s Head of Policy (Poverty) Steffan Evans, take part in two events at Cardiff University.

The first of these was a breakfast webinar. The webinar was the first held as part of a new “policy webinar series” arranged by the University. The topic under discussion was the cost of living crisis, and Steffan was asked to join Cian Sion from the Wales Governance Centre to share insights as to the impact of the crisis on people in Wales.

In the afternoon, Steffan joined masters students from the University’s School of Law and Politics. Steffan was asked to contribute to a seminar organised by lecturer Dr Jac Larner on public policy in Wales. He gave an overview of the Foundation’s work on poverty, outlining some of the drivers of poverty in Wales and exploring possible policy solutions.
