‘One to watch’: Bevan Foundation makes award shortlist

The Bevan Foundation is delighted that it has been shortlisted for the 20th Prospect Think Tank Awards’ ‘One to Watch’ award

Run by Prospect, a monthly British general-interest magazine specialising in politics, economics, and current affairs, the Awards are an annual celebration which reward the work of think tanks on a national and global scale. As well as the One to Watch, categories include the Think Tanker of the Year, the Advocacy Award, the Social Policy award, the Foreign Affairs award, Economics and Financial Affairs award, Democracy and Law award and the Climate and Energy award.

The cross-party judging panel take account of evidence of influence on public policy and the public discourse, as well as the quality of research and potential of younger and smaller organisations.

This year’s judges include: Andrew Adonis, Cathy Ashton, Tony Barber, Michel Barnier, Diane Coyle, Nigel Crisp, Stephanie Flanders, Tom Fletcher, Dame Elizabeth Gloster, Fiona Harvey, Peter Kellner, Bob Kerslake, Julian King, Helen Mountfield QC, Sarah Neville, Vicky Pryce, Philip Rycroft, Simon Stevens (Sir), Paul Wallace, Duncan Weldon and Jennifer Williams.

Director of the Bevan Foundation Victoria Winckler said:

“We are delighted to receive this acknowledgement of our contribution to public policy in Wales after what has been a particularly successful but challenging year.

“Our influence is only possible thanks to the generosity of our subscribers and supporters, so we are extremely grateful to them and the judges for this prestigious recognition.”

The awards ceremony will take place in December.
