We were delighted give a lecture to students on the Cambria Fellowship Programme

The Bevan Foundation were pleased to be able to join the Wales Co-op Centre and Cardiff University on Tuesday, 22nd June to share some of our expertise with students from the Cambria Fellowship Programme. The programme is a new Community of Practice set up through the ASPECT network with the aim of developing the capacity of social science students to commercialise their work through social enterprise business models.

Over the multi-day event students heard from a range of speakers, each an expert in a different area of the field. Steffan Evans joined on behalf of the Bevan Foundation to give a lecture on poverty in Wales. Steffan gave the students an overview of poverty in Wales including information on who lives in poverty and the causes of poverty.

Speaking after the event Steffan said “it was great to join a group of students with such interest in work. I am sure that they will find the programme extremally beneficial and I’m looking forward to seeing how the students progress their work over the years to come”.
