The Bevan Foundation was delighted to be invited by the Hiraeth podcast to appear on two recent episodes

The Bevan Foundation were delighted to receive invitations from the Hiraeth podcast to appear on two recent episodes. The first of these episodes focused on the Welsh economy whilst the second looked at housing policy in Wales.

The Bevan Foundation’s director, Victoria Winckler appeared on the pod’s discussion of the Welsh economy. The discussions covered a number of issues ranging for a reflection of how successful or otherwise successive Welsh Governments have been over 20 years of Welsh devolution in strengthening the Welsh economy to a consideration of what might be the impact of Covid 19 on the Welsh economy, both in the short and longer term. Joining Victoria on the panel were Calving Jones from Cardiff University and Sion Barry from Media Wales. You can listen back here.

The second podcast saw Steffan Evans join Stuart Ropke of Community Housing Cymru and Tamsin Stirling, freelance housing consultant and Bevan Foundation Trustee to discuss housing policy in Wales. The discussion looked at a broad range of housing issues including housing supply, housing affordability and homelessness. The discussion also looked ahead to the Senedd election with each panellist discussing what they’d like to see the next Welsh Government do on housing. You can listen back to their discussion here.
