Calls for more support for people who are shielding

The Bevan Foundation’ s report looking at social isolation and loneliness and the impact of shielding features on ITV news Wales

Even prior to COVID-19 social isolation and loneliness was an issue. Appearing on behalf of the Bevan Foundation, Claire Thomas raised concerns that shielding has led to an increase in people experiencing social isolation and loneliness. The Bevan Foundation has identified five key local actions which support people in the months to come. Shielding will eventually come to an end but social isolation and loneliness will continue. The report sets out a framework to tackle these issues in the future.
