Three year strategy launched

The Bevan Foundation’s new strategy, designed to identify and provide solutions to the significant challenges facing Wales by 2020, is launched today, 2nd March 2015.

The strategy includes exciting plans for 2015/16, including:

  • Wales 2020 – a look at the trends that will reshape our economy and society in the next five years
  • Making the most of the Wales Act – how some of the powers in the Act could be used to improve people’s lives
  • Should ‘welfare be devolved’? – an in-depth assessment of the scope to devolve social security.

The Bevan Foundation aims to generate at least 100 robust, evidence-based ideas to make Wales a better place and improve lives by 2020.

It will be working with its members and others to achieve this aim.

The coming year is ‘make or break’, as the Bevan Foundation seeks more sustainable funding to fill the gap betweeen its income and expenditure and to grow beyond its current 1.8 FTE staff.
