The Bevan Foundation’s report for Age Cymru on public transport and older people made the news in the Western Mail and on ITV Wales on 11th December 2013.

The Western Mail reported how buses are a lifeline for older people, and that many bus operators are worried that changes to bus services will result in cuts to services that will leave people without a car unable to get to the shops, banks or medical appointments.

ITV Wales also featured the Bevan Foundation’s report, with the experiences of Joy Matthews from Machen, near Caerphilly, illustrating how important bus services are to older people.
