Tai Calon, the new social landlord for Blaenau Gwent, launched its new financial inclusion forum on December 6th, to help its tenants to cope with the strain on their budgets as prices soar and wages and benefits are static or being cut.
Speaking at the launch, Bevan Foundation director Victoria Winckler said “These really are tough times. We hear the Chancellor talking about balancing the budget but the ones who are really walking the tight rope are families on low incomes. This initiative from Tai Calon is very welcome.”
Other speakers included Professor Dave Adamson, Chief Executive of the Centre for Regeneration Excellence Wales, and Katija Dew, Financial Inclusion Champion for Wales. Find out more at http://www.taicalon.org/
