What would Mrs Pankhurst do?

EventsEvent Date: Jun 14th, 2013  Time: 9:30 - 16:30  Location: Newport

A conference to identify, discuss and develop actions to challenge the effects of 21st Century welfare changes on women in Wales.

Current changes to the welfare system pose a significant threat to women’s independence that could see their financial independence eroded, ability to remain in work undermined and dependence on partners increased. As a proactive response you are invited to attend What would Mrs Pankhurst do?, a conference organised by Chwarae Teg and in partnership with the Women in Society Journal.

At the conference you will:

 Gain knowledge to help your organisation mitigate the impact

 Learn from experts about the true extent of the impact on women

 Develop and share ideas to strengthen our response

 Network with likeminded delegates

 Influence Chwarae Teg’s work in this area

This is your opportunity to ensure that together we develop the best response possible to minimise the regressive impact of welfare reform.
