The Bevan Foundation in partnership with the Joeseph Rowntree Foundation are organising a conference to discuss what it will take for Wales to become dementia friendly. The focus for the event is deliberately wider than formal health and social care services, and designed to sit alongside other discussions and events that are happening in Wales on service improvement. The event will consider the concept of ‘dementia-friendly’ or ‘dementia-supportive’ places (communities, villages, towns and cities) and ask what will it take to make Wales dementia friendly.
Speakers will include Sarah Rochira (Older People’s Commissioner for Wales), Carol Mooney (Welsh Government), Philippa Hare (Joesph Rowntree Foundation), Judith Phillips (OPAN).
