As prices soar, what is the role of the third sector in easing the pressures? Join us at Gofod3 – Wales’ largest voluntary sector event – to have your say

With incomes broadly static and prices soaring, many households are turning to charities to keep their heads above water. Food banks, uniform banks, furniture reuse centres and homelessness shelters – for example – have become an established part of the services that people rely on.  They are arguably now part of the wider welfare state.

But is this right?

Join our panel for a lively panel discussion about charities’ and community groups’ responses to the cost of living crisis.

  • are charities letting governments ‘off the hook’ by providing essential services?
  • what value does the third sector add to state-provided services?
  • are third sector organisations properly recompensed for providing essential help?
