EventsReportsVideosWebinarEvent Date: Jun 3rd, 2020  Time: 15:00

People from the EU who wish to remain in Wales must apply for ‘settled status’.

In this webinar, Dr Claire Thomas, Policy & Research Officer at the Bevan Foundation, is joined by Una Boyd, Immigration project coordinator for CAJ, and Wiard Sterk, Information manager for Settled to explore whether the European Union Settlement Scheme (EUSS) will protect EU migrants rights or if it is another ‘Windrush scandal’ in the making.

Some of the key topics covered include:

  • the context of the EUSS and the changes to the immigration system;
  • how it is currently operating;
  • what the challenges are in ensuring people apply to the EUSS;
  • potential issues after free movement ends.
