At least one in six children is at risk of having an inadequate diet in school holidays. As the new First Minister has pledged to extend the School Holiday Enrichment Programme, it is timely to consider how best holiday hunger can be alleviated in the short-term, and prevented in the longer-term.
This seminar includes presentations by leading food campaigner, Lindsay Graham, as well as practical examples of action to reduce holiday hunger across Wales. Delegates will also discuss effective short-term and long-term action that they can take.
Participants will gain understanding, motivation and contacts to take effective action to alleviate and prevent holiday hunger. You will also contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
