Roundtable: Nowhere to call home – boosting the supply of social housing

Join the Bevan Foundation as we share our new research on social housing supply

What’s it about?

The number of households living in temporary accommodation is at an all-time high. One in every 215 households across Wales is now living in this limbo, including over 3,000 children – nearly six in every 1,000 children in Wales. Local authority services are buckling under the unprecedented demand.   

What these households need is the key to a social home, but there aren’t enough. How can supply be boosted? 

Join the Bevan Foundation and our project partners, Shelter Cymru, Housing Justice Cymru and Cwmpas for our roundtable discussion on Thursday 17th October to explore this question further. At the roundtable you will have an opportunity to: 

• Hear the findings from the Bevan Foundation’s own research into social housing supply and the barriers to delivering more 

• Share your thoughts on these barriers and the impact that they are having on social housing supply across Wales 

• Share your ideas about what how we can overcome the current supply and get people moved on from temporary accommodation. 

Who should attend?

The event is by invitation only. Invites will be sent to organisations and individuals who have an interest in the area. If you have an interest and have not received an invite then we would be delighted if you could join the roundtable by contacting us. Due to limited space, places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
