Port Talbot Lunch Briefing: “I want to be something”: better opportunities for young people

12:00 – 13:30

Friday 8th June 2018

St Paul’s Centre, Gerald Street, Port Talbot, SA12 6DQ

The Bevan Foundation is delighted to invite you to the launch of its report “I want to be something”. This ground-breaking report specifically focuses on young people who left school without 5 A*-C GCSEs and advocates for post-16 education, training and employment to open doors for young people who do not have 5 ‘good’ GCSEs.

This is a chance to hear about the research the Bevan Foundation has conducted into the opportunities that currently exist for this cohort, including interviews from young people, and hear our agenda setting recommendations for a more inclusive approach to post-16.

Attendance is free but places are limited and prior booking is essential. To book your place please register here.

The Bevan Foundation is Wales’ most innovative and influential think tank. We develop lasting solutions to Wales’ most challenging problems. This report was funded by the Garfield Weston Foundation, Community Union and a number of supporting individuals and organisations.
