This webinar was hosted in conjunction with our partner The Open University in Wales during #LearningatWork week 2020 and takes the form of a panel discussion.

In it we explore how organisations are providing opportunities to learn during lockdown, how lockdown has changed the way we think about learning, and what the Bevan Foundation and The Open University in Wales are doing to ensure more people have the ability to learn flexibly and at distance.

Some of the key topics covered include:

  • the changing nature of the Welsh economy, skills challenges and lifelong learning landscapes, and the demographic makeup of Welsh communities
  • the inherent value of learning at work, beyond employability
  • how organisations can address the challenges of learning at work during lockdown
  • how learning improves other life outcomes, such as reducing poverty and improving health
  • why learning is crucial to the future prosperity of Wales
