Wales’ political institutions and everyday politics are quite different to those in other parts of the UK. Anyone wanting to get their voice heard needs to understand how Wales’ political systems operate.
This introductory course will equip you with the essential knowledge to enable you to navigate and engage with Wales’s key decision-making bodies. It will explain the powers that are currently devolved, explore the roles of the Welsh Government and Welsh Parliament, and outline the key levers for achieving change.
It can be joined as a stand-alone course or as a bundle with a follow-on course on Thursday 8 May, Are you being heard? Influencing political decision-making.
The course comprises two 40 minute sessions and a ten minute break, with trainers Victoria Winckler and Steffan Evans.
