Influencing the Welsh Government can be an effective way of achieving lasting change.  This online course will give you the knowledge, tools, tips and contacts you need to make a difference.

Persuading the Welsh Government to change policies, legislation or spending can be a highly effective way of achieving lasting change for your organisation’s beneficiaries, customers or clients. But there are many pitfalls along the way. Avoid falling into a trap by learning from the team at Wales’ most influential think tank.

This course will help you to understand:

  • when to target the Welsh Government
  • different opportunities to influence and how to use them
  • keeping on the right side of the law and the Charity Commission
  • preparing an effective influencing strategy.

Practicalities

The course is delivered via Zoom, from 9.30 to 12.30 with a coffee break. It consists of a mix of presentations by our expert team, groups discussions, interactive sessions and small group tasks.  

Following the session, learners will receive the slides and a recording.

The training will be delivered in English.
