Join this unique session to find out how the Discretionary Assistance Fund (DAF) can be a lifeline for people in severe hardship.

CHANGE OF DATE: Due to unforeseen circumstances this event has been rescheduled for Weds 22nd March. Bookings will be carried over to the new date. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

The Discretionary Assistance Fund provides cash and goods for people in severe financial hardship. Flexibility in the scheme during and after the Covid-19 pandemic has enabled DAF to help more than a quarter of a million people. With an additional £18.8 million earmarked for the DAF in 2023-24, it is set to continue to provide vital help.

What is it about?

This session will provide an overview of the DAF, then look at its two key elements – Emergency Assistance Payments and Individual Assistance Payments. It will cover eligibility for help, the application and assessment process, and how to appeal. It will also include a DAF ‘clinic’ where you will be able to put your queries and concerns to the scheme administrators.

A full agenda will be available shortly.
