The Bevan Foundation is launching a project to develop proposals for new, devolved taxes.

The Wales Act 2014 includes the provision for the National Assembly for Wales to introduce new taxes. The potential of such taxes to change organisations’ and individuals’ behaviour – and to make Wales a fairer, more prosperous and sustainable country – are huge.

Over the next nine months we will be gathering views about potential new taxes and developing robust proposals that we hope the National Assembly for Wales will take forward.

The project is funded by the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust, and runs to March 2016.
