EventsEvent Date: Oct 22nd, 2015  Time: 09:30 - 13:00  Location: Future Inn, Cardiff Bay, Cardiff

The ‘New Taxes for a Better Wales’ seminar forms part of our work on Wales’ tax powers and will aim to identify new devolved taxes that could benefit Wales.

The event will be opened by the Minister for Finance & Government, Jane Hutt AM, and delegates will also hear from David Phillips, Senior Research Economist at the Institute of Fiscal Studies, and a panel of representatives from Wales’ main political parties. Participants will discuss and share emerging ideas on tax raising in Wales, and consider proposals for new taxes in policy areas including public health, tourism, skills and the environment.

The seminar is an ideal opportunity to learn about the potential to introduce new taxes and to share your views on tax powers with political representatives ahead of next year’s election.

Please note that this event is invitation-only. For more information, please email [email protected]
