Bevan Foundation Bay article gets debate going

Posted in NewsNews | Feb 04, 2013

An article in the latest issue of the Bevan Foundation’s members’ magazine has sparked a lively debate about the merits of the redevelopment of Cardiff Bay.

David Williamson of the Western Mail kicked things off with his article comparing Cardiff and Swansea, which was quickly followed by another piece in the ‘Your Cardiff’ section.  BBC Radio Wales’s phone-in show then spurred the discussion on still further, and the next day the Western Mail’s Aled Blake referred to the article while musing on the dereliction of the Coal Exchange.

Not everyone was happy – Stephen Doughty MP didn’t agree and a debate about the relative merits of Cardiff Bay got going on Twitter.

The magazine with the article by Adrian Jones is available on subscription for from £30 a year here.
