Thank you Green Man 2012!

Posted in NewsNews | Aug 20, 2012

A big thank you to everyone who helped to make Green Man festival 2012 a roaring success for the Bevan Foundation!

Proud to be the festival’s charity partner, hundreds of festival-goers took the opportunity to find out more about what we do and to support our work with donations, promises of mentions and help to spread the word.  Our stand at the main gate, staffed by a team of tireless volunteers, attracted a lot of interest while other volunteers, including students from Merthyr Tydfil college, worked the crowd whether to collect donations or entries for our ‘free 2013 tickets’ competition.  Our badges and T-shirts were a great hit too.  It’s not just about the money – although it all helps. Being Green Man’s partner helps us to raise our profile and reach new audiences too.

So, a special thanks to Fiona Steward, MD of Green Man, for making it happen. Thanks also to Green Man staff especially the box office team, thanks to our volunteers who worked really hard, to everyone at the festival who supported us, and last Daneka Norman, our Comms Manager, deserves a mention for pulling it all together in advance and over the weekend with a cheerful smile throughout!
