Transport and Social Justice: are roads the way out of poverty?

This paper, launched by Sustrans Cymru, the Bevan Foundation and SERA, argues that 'transport poverty' excludes people from jobs, and many essential services.  The paper argues that rethinking the design of towns and cities, coupled with better public transport and help to live healthy life-styles, should be prioritised in public policy.

Based on interviews with trades union officials and others, and a review of literature and available statistics, the report concludes that the issues are as much about the protection afforded to ALL employees as about migrants themselves.

Public Attitudes to dual candidacy in elections to the National Assembly for Wales, Occasional Paper 5

This research guages whether the public had views about dual candidacy.  The findings suggest the public regard constituency members as the legitimate representative of an area. However, this view was combined with a general lack of understanding in the electoral process and the roles of the two types of assembly member.
